Progresstein3d is a game mode introduced in version 0.541. It features an old-school first-person shooter, based on the 3D Maze screensaver from Windows 9x and Wolfenstein 3D, a popular 90s FPS game. It gives 1.5x the normal number of points and has a maximum of four hearts.
Gameplay[]
Similar to Wolfenstein 3D, this game mode features a HUD showing the player, which is shown as a dog. The player can only move left and right, but moves forward automatically.
Various obstacles, such as Clippies and mines, will appear in this game mode. Most obstacles will prevent further movement, but they can be shot down by the player's weapon.
There is a timer of 400 seconds before the game mode can be played. This timer continues to tick down as long as the game is open, and it can be removed by buying it for 20.

Obstacles[]
- Clippy - In Progresstein3d, Clippy has three forms:
- Normal: This form doesn't have any weapon in its hand. It can move left and right or be stationary; when it is stationary, it will look left and right, and blink. It can be killed with a single shot. If the player bumps into Clippy, nothing happens.
- Gun: This form moves left and right and shoots bullets from its gun. Getting hit by a bullet will deduct 5% from the progress percentage. This type of Clippy can be killed with two shots - after one shot, it will lose its gun.
- Explosive: This form has a stick of dynamite in its hand and moves left and right. Sometimes, this type of Clippy is stationary. Bumping into this form will cause a Blue Screen of Death to show up. It can be killed with two shots - after one shot, it will lose its dynamite.
- Mine - Dangerous. Touching this will give you a BSOD, but they can be destroyed by shooting at them. This obstacle usually appears in groups.
- Dog - In this game mode, there are also other dogs. They can move or be stationary. You will get bonus points if you bump into a dog. When the player shoots a dog, an instant BSOD will show up.
- Annoying pop-up - Prevents further movement until it is destroyed, and cannot attack.
- Calculator - Described as the most annoying obstacle in the game mode. This obstacle appears when the player gets 90% in the progress bar. It has 6 hit points, moves fast and shoots 2 bullets at once. Shooting at this obstacle will cause each number on the Calculator's screen to decrease every hit, one by one; if its screen displays "0+0", then it will return "-0-" and disappear.
- Door - This obstacle appears on either side of a wall, in the middle, or as two doors on both sides of a wall. Tapping any of these doors or pressing the space bar while the player is blocked by them will open them. This obstacle was introduced in version 0.7820.
Trivia[]
- When starting the game, the following messages will appear telling you what to do:
- Move your finger
- Tap to shoot
- Collect bottles
- As of the 0.541 beta, there was no visible icon for the Progressbar 10 version of this game mode, while the rest had the same icons as a placeholder.
- Despite being unavailable on Progressbar Chitown, NOT 3.60 and NOT 4.0, icons for the Progresstein3d game mode are still found in the game's files.
- Progressbar 3.14 and Progressbar Whisper do not have their own icons for this game mode, in order to keep the game small. The icons are instead re-used from Progressbar 95.
- This game mode's visual quality is worse in older systems, meaning that older systems display the game more pixelated than newer ones.
- In newer systems, the game mode is in higher quality and does not have any pixelated images. The music stays in the HQ MIDI variation.
- In the title screen of Progresstein3d, the letters IU in the "an IU production" text is likely the abbreviation for Icoeye's real name, Igor Uduslivii. It is also a reference to the ID Software logo.
