Trivia[]
- The number 3.14 used in the name is a reference to the number 𝜋 (pronounced pi).
- The system version is also a reference to 𝜋, it containing the first 11 decimal places. This string can be found in ProgressDOS READMEs.
- Wallpaper 9 appears to feature Tesla Cybertrucks driving to the northeast corner of the screen, despite the Cybertruck not existing in 1992.
- This is the first Progressbar version and the only PB-DOS version that uses hard drive noises instead of floppy disk noises.
- Progressbar 3.14 features inspired graphics from Windows 3.1, and other programs like Clock and Program Manager (the alternative to the Start menu before Windows 95 build 58s).
- The startup sound used to be the fanfare sound heard after completing a level. Currently, it is the shutdown sound.
- Despite Windows 3.0 existing in real-life, the Progressbar95 equivalent of it cannot be accessible.
- However, Progressbar 3.14's system version does not end in .0, so the Progressbar95 version of Windows 3.0 (which would have its system version as 3.0) might exist.
- In Progressbar 3.14, typing System32 in ProgressDOS will automatically change it to System16.
- This is because Windows 3.1 is a 16-bit operating system.
- In all versions, it is possible to install Progressbar 3.14 third - Progressbar 95 plus must be installed for a span of at most 7 days and with less than 2 Pro labels. In the mobile version, it is even possible to install it second.
